Attitude/Heading Reference System (AHRS) AHRS
The following 2 AHRS sensors can be connected to the Enigma. They are connected to the Airtalk port in the rear of the Enigma display. If both sensors are connected, an RCA Y-connector can be used. Airtalk uses standard RCA cables/connectors available from your audio/video equipment store (6 foot length ships with each sensor).
Made by MGL Avionics, these are some of the smallest aviation AHRS sensors available today.

SP-4 Attitude (horizon) sensor

What is it? The SP-2 contains a three-axis magnetic field sensor and a 2-axis accelerometer. Featuring a high resolution 16 bit measurement system, a powerful ATMega processor is used to output tilt-compensated heading information. If an SP-4 AHRS is used on the same Airtalk communications link, tilt compensation is augmented using gyro data.
What information can be displayed on the Enigma? Magnetic Heading Wind speed and direction vector
Technical Size: Approx 3” x 2” (Tiny) Weight: 40g + 25g (connector) = 65g (2.3 oz) Power consumption: 50mA

What is it? The SP-4 contains 3 MEMS gyros and 3 MEMS vibrating body accelerometers. Using a 16 bit data acquisition subsystem, a powerful ARM7 32 bit processor is used to provide stabilized attitude information. Together with an SP-2 magnetometer on the same Airtalk communications link, the gyro heading can be automatically slaved to the magnetic heading.
What information can be displayed on the Enigma? Attitude Slip and skid G-Force
Technical Size: Approx 3” x 2” (Tiny) Weight: 45g + 25g (connector) = 70g (2.5 oz) Power consumption: 40mA / 80mA (heater on) Degrees per second: 180 deg/sec typical
